Is it Important to Take Car Air Conditioning?
Even though the summer is over and the rainy season is here, please note that your car's maintenance should be done, especially the car cooling system. Even though you will not be using this car to the fullest, your car's Air Conditioning is still useful in this cold winter, such as keeping the air circulation in the car when all the windows are closed or removing the dew in your car window.

Air Conditioning (AC) car is one of the mandatory devices of the car today. Most people rely heavily on this device every time they drive a car, especially when the sun roasts the air around us. In general, car air conditioning can be very reliable to relieve sultry on a hot day. However, this does not mean without problems, or there will be no time when you have to take care of your car's air conditioner. Just like car engine maintenance you should do regularly.

Regular maintenance of car air conditioning is important to do for several reasons, including:

Prevents excessive heat. There are some problems that can cause the car cooler to not work as it should include the overheating that often happens to your car's air conditioner and this can be a major problem that spills over to other parts of your car. Routine servicing can prevent this from happening.
Maintain cleanliness. Cleanliness is one of the times that determines the performance of car air conditioners. The clean component unit keeps the car's air conditioner working as it should. Regular maintenance will keep the hose and belt clean and work well.
Prevents further damage. Your regular service will help you find the problem as soon as possible and prevent it becoming more complicated and severe. The sooner you find and solve the damage, the more durable the car you have.
There are two problems in the most common car cooling system. Sometimes the car's cooler does not let out cold air, or exhts a bit of cold air, and at other times it's too cold. Both of these damages are annoying but this does not happen because of severe damage to your car's air conditioner system. However, this problem should be fixed immediately and the source of the damage should be found immediately.

In the above problem, the possibility of the compressor is the source of the problem. Please note if the compressor is a component that has the most expensive price tag of other car air conditioning components.

The car cooling system is quite complicated and sometimes requires the help of an experienced mechanic and a trusted workshop considering it is made up of interconnected components. Because of this complexity, you may need to spend more to fix it. Check the compressor dibenderol with expensive prices, maybe you will object if you yarus buy a new compressor unit.

Severe damage to the compressor requires a lot of money to fix it. Therefore, it is easier and cheaper if you repair your car's air conditioner when you first encounter problems with your car's cooling and later the damage will be minimized and does not propagate to your other car components. If you are not sure you can know the location of the damage or how to fix it, you better hurry professional mechanic immediately.
How to Fix Car Air Conditioner
Have you ever been hot in the car because the AC is broken? Here's a quick hint about how AC works, why AC is damaged, and what you can do.
Understanding Car Air Conditioning
Know, AC is actually like a refrigerator, just look different. AC is designed to move heat from one place (in your car) to another place (outside). We will not discuss every type of air conditioner in any car brand here, but the explanation about AC here will make it easy for you to speak clearly to the actual AC.

Understanding the main car AC:
Compressor: Compresses and circulates the refrigerant in the AC system
Freon: In modern cars, freon uses the R 134a type, and on old cars using Freon R 12, which is now more expensive and rare, also requires a license for its sale. Freon's job eliminates the heat.
Condenser: to change the shape of the freon from the gas to liquid and to eliminate the heat from the car.
Expansion valve: into a kind of nipple which serves to lower the pressure of the freion fluid, measure its flow and mengatomisasinya.
Evaporator: This part cools the air spewed through it, allowing the air to cool down.
Receiver / Dryer: This works as a freon / oil filter, remove moisture and other dirt.
Understand the air cooling process. In essence, the compressor presses the frion and sends it to the condensing fins. Generally these fins are on the front of your car's radiator.
Pressing the gas will make it hot. In the condenser, the heat will increase, and the heat captured by the freon will be released into the outside air. As the freon temperature drops to its saturation point, the freon will change from gas to liquid. The liquid then flows through the expansion valve, into the evaporator, and the liquid part of the ffreon will absorb heat from the air through the fins and vaporize it.
The air conditioning blower blows air through a cold evaporator into the interior of your car. Freon returns to the initial cooling cycle
Fixed AC
See if the freon is leaking (meaning no substance absorbs heat). Leakage is easy to detect but not easily repaired without breaking it. Most auto parts stores provide dye liquids that can be added to the system to detect leaks, and there are instructions on the cans. If the leak is large enough, the system does not have enough pressure to work. Find the lower nipple and check the pressure.
Do not use anything to pierce the nipple to see if any gas is coming out, this is not allowed. this is called venting.
Make sure the compressor is rotating.
Turn on the engine and air conditioner, check under the hood. The ac compressor is usually a pump-shaped object that on its side there is an iron and rubber slug leading to it. There may be no cover, but there are two valve-shaped valves. The pulley at the front of the compressor is the outer pulley and the inner joint that will rotate when the AC is turned on.
If the AC and blower light up, but the center of the pulley does not spin, it means the compressor does not rotate. This can be caused by a broken fuse, cabling problems, a faulty AC switch, or a Freon deficiency system. In general, the AC system has a safety system that will break the current if the freon is not enough.
See other sections that may be incorrect. Other problems that may occur in the AC are broken switches, broken fuses, broken cords, broken fanbelt (causing the compressor not to spin), or seal damage inside the compressor.
Feel there is cold air. If there is cold air but only a little, this may be due to less pressure, and you can add freon. Usually spare parts stores provide freon along with petunujuk charging. .
Do not fill too much! Adding a freon beyond recommendation will not increase the cooling capability, but will reduce it. Actually, with a more expensive tool in an AC workshop will monitor the actual condition on your AC when adding a freon. When cooling decreases, reduce the pressure until the ability increases again.
Tips
• If you suspect a damaged cable, the compressor generally has a cable that leads to an electrical switch. Locate the connector on the cable and release it. Pick up enough cables, connect the cable from the compressor to the plus (+) terminal of your battery. If you hear the noise, the electrical switch is not damaged, and you should check the wiring on the side of your car. If you do not hear anything, electrical switches that have been damaged must be replaced. Ideally, if you can do this test when the engine is on, you can see if the compressor is rotating. Be careful with your fingers or clothes do not get hit by the rotating parts. Thus, the damage can certainly not come from a switch, but it may be due to a slack and slippery belt that can not provide enough pressure.
• Freon that you may need is HC12 which is slightly more used in Europe. R12 works better than R12 or R134a. It's more flammable. HC12a is not permitted in many American states, including Arkansas, Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Iowa, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin District of Columbia. HC12a is more environmentally friendly than R12 or R134a, but because HC12a contains hydrocarbons, it can cause VOC emissions. Freons of this type must be booked over the internet as they are not available on the store. The problem is the AC workshop may not be able to do it because it requires special tools. Using R12 or R134a is a safer option.
• Sometimes the problem is not with the freon. There may be a problem with the heat radiation coming from the engine room, which lowers the AC's ability to cool. You can try to seal / wrap the AC cooling slot near the engine to reduce the effect of engine heat on it.
• If your car's air conditioner leaks even though the drain pipe is clean, there may be water entering the AC system while driving in the rain.
• There will be little oil on your system
.WARNING Checking the freon by pressing the nipple to see the exit gas is illegal for releasing harmful gas into the air. (Do not do it with R12!) Though it's legal to add a leaky system, you should be sure of your local rules. Some areas have laws that prohibit this because of emissions. Removing a freon, including R134a, is also illegal in America, so stick with it.Be careful when turning your system from R12 to R134a. There are conversion kits that you must purchase at the store, possibly also at WalMart, called "black Death Kits" by AC mechanics. Often, the new R134a freon can not work with old oil and will make your compressor burn. Oli oada system with R12 containing chlorine which will destroy PAG or POE oil in the system of R134a freon. The only way is to replace all oil contained in the compressor, replace the Dryer, and rinse all channels, evaporator and condenser with a special tool and then vacuum, and fill in R134a about 70-80% by weight of R12, and more cooling conditions bad from R12. It's easier to keep using R12 by purchasing it through eBay. You need permission to buy / sell R12.
• If you have reason to suspect that your freon is leaking completely (the pressure gauge you buy at the spare parts store is 0 PSI, the compressor will not rotate because it detects no pressure), then you should leave it to the experts unless you are proficient. But if you read this article, it means you are not an expert. The reason is that a completely leaking freon can not prevent air and moisture from entering the system through its leakage gap. Air and humidity are the main enemies of air conditioning systems. How this could damage the system is beyond the scope of this article, but it can be said, there should be no air or moisture inside the ac channel. Dryer should be replaced, because in this case the dryer must have absorbed the moisture and no longer works, and before you replace it, the system must be vacuumed first to remove all air and moisture from it. Let the AC experts do this, and you just pay the leak repair fee. But if you try to fix it yourself, you may have to do it again a few months later, also damage to the compressor, condenser, expansion valve, can also be damaged by it.
• Stay away from major freon leaks. At this time radiating, will cause a very cold air that can freeze your skin.
